Since becoming CEO in 2020, Kim has led Chemistry through a dynamic period of growth and transformation. She has expanded the firm’s service offerings across Canada, including executive recruitment, leadership development, organizational design, policy modernization, and HR strategic planning. She is known for applying a people-first approach, rooted in both compassion and data-driven decision-making. Her leadership has helped organizations navigate changing workplace dynamics, particularly during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
A recognized expert in organizational change, strategic HR planning, and leadership coaching, Kim works closely with clients in both the public and private sectors to align people strategies with long-term business objectives. She has a proven track record of delivering high-impact solutions that help organizations navigate complex workforce challenges, attract and retain top talent, and build strong leadership pipelines.
Kim is also deeply engaged in the business and non-profit community. She is the current past Chair of the Scale-Up Centre for SMEs at the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and serves in advisory roles with the BC Hospitality Foundation and the Tourism Resiliency Network. A passionate advocate for gender equity and inclusive leadership, Kim regularly mentors women in business and champions initiatives that support diverse leadership at all levels.
In addition to her corporate leadership, Kim is the founder of Chefs for Life, a high-profile biennial culinary gala that brings together Vancouver and Whistler’s top chefs in support of the Vancouver Friends for Life Society. Under her direction, the event has raised over $1 million for individuals living with life-threatening illnesses such as cancer and HIV/AIDS. Her philanthropic efforts have earned her multiple accolades, including the Minerva Foundation Philanthropy Award, AccolAIDS Philanthropy Award, The Friends For Life Society Friend in Deed Award, the Debra Van Ginkel Award from Les Dames d’Escoffier and a nomination for the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards. These accolades reflect her commitment to community wellness, social impact, and empowering women in leadership and hospitality.
Outside of her professional commitments, Kim is an avid traveler, gourmand, and wine enthusiast, with a deep appreciation for culinary culture and global perspectives. She brings this same spirit of curiosity, care, and connection to her work, inspiring teams and organizations to lead with purpose and create lasting impact.
