John Willow is our Senior Associate for business consulting and brings to the Chemistry team over 35 years of private and public sector experience in the tourism, health/life sciences and agribusiness sectors. John specializes in facilitating strategic and business planning & implementation, government-industry relations & advocacy, and policy analysis & development. Widely respected as a team builder and motivator, John is a strategist with a practical eye for operational realities and he can be counted on to bring creative ideas to the table.

Growing up on BC’s beautiful West Coast, John is a long-time champion of best practices that promote economic, environmental and social sustainability. For the past several years, John has also devoted time to guiding the next generation of tourism entrepreneurs by teaching hospitality & tourism management courses to undergrads at Royal Roads University.

Over the years, John has also given back by serving on several non-profit sectoral Boards, local community environmental and heritage advisory committees, and as President of Lambrick Baseball Academy Parent Association. As a proud baseball-Dad, John travels frequently to the USA to cheer on his sons Jason and Evan who play baseball for the University of California Santa Barbara and McPherson College, Kansas, respectively. Along with his family and friends, John really enjoys watching both sons play summer ball for the local Victoria HarbourCats team. With his glass-half-full attitude to life and work, no surprise that one of John’s favorite quotes is from the great Yogi Bera… “It ain’t over ‘til its over!”
