HR Tips - Onboarding

  • Ensure that all employee paperwork is complete before an employee starts work.
  • Take new employees for coffee or lunch within the first week.
  • Make sure a new employee’s physical workplace and workstation is ready for them on their first day.
  • Personally introduce your new employee to everyone they will interact with in their new position.
  • Team up your new employee with a "buddy" or mentor to help them get established.
  • Send out an email introduction for a new employee to all team members. Include a brief history of their background, what they will be doing/who they report to and an interesting tidbit that they would like to share.
