Healthy Workplace Award

Victoria, April 2008: Chemistry Consulting Group won two of the 14 awards handed out at the 2008 Greater Victoria Business Awards held on April 16th at the Fairmont Empress Crystal Ballroom. The gala awards event, which is hosted by the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, honours businesses and individuals that have demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment to positive business development, economic growth and diversity within the region. 

Chemistry’s first trip to the podium came when we received the Healthy Workplace Award.  This award honours a business that excels while demonstrating a commitment to a healthy work environment through practices that benefit employees physically, intellectually and/or emotionally.  Special attention is paid to businesses that have taken measures to improve the quality of life of their employees. 

Employee of the Year Award

We are even more proud of our second trip to the podium which was made when Garth Yoneda received the Employee of the Year Award.  According to the awards event program, “Garth has spent his career helping others and has been working with youth and the unemployed of Victoria for many years with the goal of helping them learn how to help themselves.  Everything that Garth does is done with complete professionalism, passion and energy.  His focus is always on other and not on what it may do for him. He advocates for his team and yet never forgets the business side of the business.”  Way to go Garth!
